Our network of mills and strong relationships with forest supply partners, assures the Rossi Group can deliver the premium hardwood inventory to customers locally and across the globe.
Emporium is a state-of-the-art mill, completely re-constructed after a fire in 2018 into one of the most efficient hardwood sawmills in the world today – sorting, milling and drying to tolerances, consistencies and yields that were not possible even a few years ago. We offer annual production of approximately 35 million board feet of lumber sourced from Appalachian hardwood forests within a 100-mile radius of the mill. Two double-cut, slant headrigs and two band re-saws produce lumber to an edging and grading line, operated only by graduate NHLA graders. The sorting line has 37 automated bays to ensure a maximum range of sizes and grades before stacking and kiln drying with a capacity of 1.2 mmbf.

In April 2021 Rossi Group and The Lyme Timber Company LP acquired Danzer’s Bradford, Pennsylvania sawmill, kilns and related assets. The Rossi Group and Lyme have brought the Bradford facility (formerly known as Bradford Forest Products) back to full production, thus securing over 85 existing jobs and creating at least a further 20 new jobs in McKean county.
